Think & Tinker V-groove scoring and engraving cutters are built around a classic V-tip geometry enhanced with revisions to the cutting edges and flute profile. These changes result in bits with improved cutting properties in a wider range of materials. Our tools are routinely used to shape and engrave metals, plastics, all types of woods and a wide variety of composites.

  • Side-lit plastic signs - Tip sharpness and dimensional fidelity insure that engravings into transparent and translucent thermoplastics cut clean, with out the debris that plague many other v-tip tools. This is especially critical in very fine (0.20 in. high) text and complex line art.
  • Wooden signs and complex contours - Holding a tight tolerance on the V-tip side angle allows these tools to be used in multi-pass, deep engraving of text and dimensional signage.
  • Plaques and awards - Multi-material compatibility insures that no tool change is required when cutting from brass into wood into thermoplastic into most other materials you are using for your awards. Clear, crisp engraving insures a professional product every time.
  • Custom edging and chamfering - Pre-chamfering of complex shapes (like monograms) eliminates the need for time consuming, and variable hand sanding. The ability to create curved and wavy edge profiles provides a more finished look to all of your cutting and contouring projects.
